The system

THE BIG 5 is more than ski lessons – it helps you learn better.

It works fast, but only if you put in effort. Use the time before your lessons to prepare and also during the lessons!

Progress doesn’t start on the mountain – it starts with you.

We bring the knowledge. You bring the effort!

That’s how results happen!

That’s teamwork!

The idea

THE BIG 5 = five simple principles.

Clear and effective.
Built from our name: R-O-M-E-O.

Each letter helps you improve.

Together, they take you to the next level.

R – for “Right” or: the Right Mindset

Over the years, we have heard many reasons why people don’t improve while skiing. Really many…

And here is what we learned: people often become right.

If you think skiing is hard to learn—
you are right.

If you think skiing is easy to learn and improve—
you are also right.

So yes: you are right.

What you believe will become true for you.

That’s why the fastest way to improve starts before your lesson even begins:
have the right mindset.

Decide that you will learn skiing easily and quickly.

And you will.

O – for “EmOtion”

Learning is all about motivation.

Skiers who enjoy the process and celebrate every small step improve the fastest.

Be truly happy about every bit of progress you make—no matter how small.

M – for “Mit Gefühl"

Skiing is all about feeling.

People who can feel how their body moves and changes learn faster.

Pay attention to your body and notice how different movements feel.

E – for “Equilibrium” (balance)

Balance is the key to skiing.

Practice your balance as often as you can before your lesson—for example, stand on one leg while brushing your teeth etc.!

And you will learn / improve skiing faster!

O – for “Go On and Keep On Smiling”

Those who kept trying—and didn’t forget to smile—learned the fastest.

Keep on smiling!

Put it into practice!

Try to use these points in your daily life—and especially before your ski lessons. Practice them as much as you can!

By doing this, you give a big boost to your lessons and make them true teamwork.

When your effort meets the guidance of your instructor, you’ll learn or improve your skiing much faster.
